Welcome to Rest Bay Surf Lifesaving Club!
Located in the charming coastal town of Porthcawl, South Wales, we are a community committed to surf and pool life saving for all ages. From our energetic Nippers to aspiring Juniors and experienced Masters, our club provides training, activities, and events designed to develop essential life-saving skills and a lifelong appreciation for the water.
Our focus is on empowering individuals, fostering teamwork, and promoting safety both in the surf and in the pool. Whether you’re just starting out as a Nipper, enhancing your abilities as a Junior, or contributing and competing as a Master, there’s a place for everyone at Rest Bay Surf Lifesaving Club.
Nippers
Our club’s Nipper section are aged between 7-13. As a Nipper your child will be taught surf safety, basic lifesaving skills, surf and beach sports (wading, surf swimming, board paddling, beach flags, beach sprints and relays).
Juniors
Rest Bay SLSC provides key development programs that enable our youth to make an easy transition from Nipper to qualified Surf Lifesaver. These programs target 13 to 18 year olds by acknowledging that that these young people are the future of our club.
Seniors & Masters
Rest Bay Surf Life Saving Club has a very active Seniors and Masters section. Members of all abilities train regularly throughout the year, and many represent the club in local and national competitions.
